We’re looking for inspiring people to feature in Season 2 of Midlife Mavericks.
A Midlife Maverick is someone who started something new in their late 40s, 50s, 60s or beyond — something unexpected, ambitious, adventurous or just a little unconventional for their stage of life.
We’re looking for great stories, not extraordinary résumés. What matters is that they chose to begin — at an age when the world sometimes suggests we should be slowing down.
Their story should challenge stereotypes about aging and remind us that there is no expiry date on trying something new.

An emerging Manitoba filmmaker developing a distinctive voice, Ray’s films are a feast for the senses, blending creative visual elements like lighting, effects, and animations with rich audio elements. Through his art, Ray hopes to transport the viewer to another world.
Ray’s voice is deeply connected to his own experiences and perspective. His films reflect his passion for adventure and his belief that anything is possible at any age.
Jackie Hope
Jackie’s role as a producer is not just about overseeing the logistics of filmmaking, but also helping to craft compelling narratives that inspire and resonate.
Jackie's life experiences help her bring a deep sense of artistry and emotional depth to each project, using film as a medium to explore new artistic expressions and to share stories of adventure, resilience, and the transformative power of midlife pivots.
